Another way to insert characters and symbols into a Document is to set the Num Lock key on and using the Alt key type in the ASCII value on the number pad keys, for example typing 36 will result in a dollar sign appearing when you release the Alt key. If you wish to use symbols or accented characters on a Website then you can use ISO 8859-1 characters in HTML , for example: ! which will display an exclamation mark!  You can find a useful website that lists all of them. www.htmlhelp.com/reference/charset/
